INWA have developed an international standard for Nordic Walking Instructor training. This leading qualification is recognised in over 40 different countries.
The INWA Instructor Course is delivered by an INWA National Trainer who has been trained by an INWA International Trainer. Our National Trainers keep their skills up to date by attending regular international conferences on Nordic Walking practice and theory.
Our trained Instructors come from a variety of different backgrounds including personal trainers, gym instructors, Pilates teachers, physiotherapists, osteopaths, GP’s, cardiac rehab specialists, community workers, Outward Bound instructors, teachers, park rangers, retired people, walk leaders, outdoor enthusiasts, complimentary therapists, fell runners, mountain leaders, career changers and people who just love Nordic Walking.
National Trainer and Instructor Membership
You must be an INWA Registered National Trainer or Instructor
A Registered INWA National Trainer
Criteria:
1. Have successfully completed an INWA National Trainers’ Course
2. Maintain registration by attending the INWA Convention at least every two years
3. Participating in the Continuing Education Programme
A Registered INWA Instructor
Criteria:
1. Have successfully completed an INWA Instructors’ Course
2. Have completed the Updated 10 Step Method TM Course with the new INWA Instructor’s Manual
3. Participating in the Continuing Education Programme
