29-04-2023 – INWA World Cup in Mielno at the Baltic Sea (Poland)

This event was attended by 160 competitors. They competed at 3 distances: 21.1 km, 10 km, and 5 km.
There was very fierce competition between the top riders. New time records were set, accompanied by great emotions. The route of the competition had a varied surface.
Starting from the start, it was led along the seaside promenade.
Then the narrow streets and the dunes led the competitors to the sandy beach. More experienced competitors remembering from previous years struggled on the route in Mielno chose a paved strip of beach running close to the water, where the ground was not so loose. After an exhausting stretch on the beach of about 1.5 km, the competitors entered the forest through the dunes to eat and quench their thirst at the nutritional point (the second nutritional point was located near the start/finish). After a while, the forest path turned into an asphalt road, and the competitors headed toward the finish line or started the next lap. After the end of the competition, there was time for Mini Nordic Walking performed by children at a distance of 400 m. In the end, the decoration of the awarded participants of the World Cup took place. During the competition, there were further qualifiers for the National Team Polish. The whole competition was under the patronage of INWA.
All procedures and rules have been conducted in accordance with the guidelines contained in INWA regulations. Route measurement and marking were certified.

On April 29, 2023, the INWA Nordic Walking World Cup Mielno – POLAND competition took place. The event was attended by 160 competitors. They competed at 3 distances: 21.1 km, 10 km, and 5 km. FLASH BACK TO INWA WORLD CUP 2022 IN LATVIA
Saturday, July 9, the INWA Nordic World Cup in Latvia took place. The event was attended by Nordic Walkers from Latvia, Poland, Ukraine, Lithuania. Participants competed in distances of 5 km, 10 km and 21 km in different age groups. On behalf of all participants, INWA member LTSA thanks for the support of the event to the Riga City Council, The Education, Culture and Sports Department of the Riga City Council!
We thank Fazer and Orthomol for the prizes for the participants of the event!
The track was beautiful – the participants could watch the sea while walking through the forest.
Both Latvian Nordic Walkers and guests from Poland climbed the podium (the Polish delegation of PZNW was represented in a huge number).
Special “green cards” and prices for the correct Nordic walking technique were won by Liene Vysotskaya and Erwina Wilusz.
Special Orthomol awards were presented to the senior participants of the event.
