Nordic Walking won the Silver Medal at the International Leisure Congress of China!World Leisure Conference is supported by United Nations and was founded already in 1952.
The main function of the conference is to select Quality of Life enhancing concepts that are suitable for all the regions, all-seasons and all the people.Congress and the prize giving ceremony was held in Beijing.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, INWA President Mr Aki Karihtala was not able to travel to Beijing to receive the award but was represented by Mr. Yao Xinxin, National Trainer of INWA (International Nordic Walking Federation) in China.
This silver medal was a great honor not only for our Federation INWA but also for Mr Karihtala personally, as this summarizes the long term work what he has done with all colleagues in China to promote Nordic Walking in the biggest market of the world.
Nordic Walking was selected from hundreds of candidates and there are no words to describe, how valuable this achievement is. We think that this award and publicity what Nordic Walking has received will give a great push for Nordic Walking in the Chinese recreational sport market.
